Piercings

I have them.
I have ten of them and a dermal implant, actually.

Here are three reasons why I have them:

1. I like the way they look, and how they reflect my personality a little. I wear them as an expression.
2. Facial piercings detract from my stupid face a little bit. I don’t have a great face, so why not decorate it with metal? Same goes for my stupid odd ears.
3. I enjoy the pre-piercing nerves, the during-piercing pain and post-piercing after care.

I really enjoy the pain, it is so… nice. Sometimes they don’t hurt, when I had my lip pierced, it didn’t hurt at all, it was just a feeling of pleasure. My Tragus and Nostril hurt quite a bit, but in a sharp, deep, scraping kind of way. My tongue web was like a pin prick, and then an ache. I like all of these feelings. My dermal implant didn’t hurt but I enjoyed looking at the circular hole in my skin made by the dermal punch before they popped the implant in. I am slowly running out of things I want pierced and this is a very sad thought indeed.

So now you have an indication of just how weird I am.

I hope you are happy with yourselves.

My stomach went a bit funny reading this. I guess I am not one for piercings. They look nice though!

I had my eyebrow pierced 5 times (after it grew out, not at the same time), was very relaxing to play with, though the last time it grew out – years and years ago – it left a scar which remains to this day which is the only factor preventing me from getting it done again.

I definitely agree with the nerves/pain thing, highly addictive.

I also had my lip done, though I pretty much removed it within 24 hours, wasn't really me, also drinking was uber-odd (Had it done with a BCR). :P

Have had my left ear lobe done since I was a wee-small teen, forget it's even done these days, have some of my old eyebrow bars rammed through there at the moment.

Much more addictive than piercing though, I have a tattoo on my upper left arm, thoroughly enjoyable to watch it being created, strangely painful, and very odd when its close to bone and you can hear it vibrating through. The only factor which has stopped me going back every day for more ink is money, and common sense, my current one can be covered by a t-shirt when I'm 70 :D

I am glad someone shares my enthusiasm.
Eyebrow piercings are good at growing out aren't they!
Bloody surface piercings are a bugger for pushing their way out.

I thought my tongue web and dermal implant would migrate/reject, but so far they are both going well.

As for the tattoo, I agree, I have three of them and I love the pain from them too. It is sort of a scratching, burning sensation in my opinion.

I have one on my spine, one behind my ear and a bigger one on my foot. So I can safely say that I know EXACTLY what you mean about it being close to the bone and vibrating.

    :)

The way I explained my tattoo to everyone who asked was that it's like having a cat slowly run it's claws down my arm. Couldn't think of any other sensation that matched it.

I had to watch though, some other people who were there looked away from it, I found it far too fascinating and just had to stare at it being created. Though I'm the same with injections/giving blood etc.. I have to see what's going on. :D

I have a pretty fun addiction to piercing, stretching and tattooing. Although I couldn’t explain why as you just did :P
